Harris County MUD No. 188 is pleased to announce that construction of the new Water Plant No. 2 is complete and the facility is now fully operational at 15303 ½ Point Northwest Blvd. This critical infrastructure investment strengthens the District’s water system by increasing total capacity and maintaining stable system pressure alongside Water Treatment Plant No. 1.

The new plant features a 1,150 GPM groundwater well, two 210,000-gallon ground storage tanks, two 10,000-gallon hydropneumatic tanks, four 1,100 GPM booster pumps, advanced disinfection facilities, and a 600 kW standby generator to safeguard continuous water delivery during power outages or regional supply restrictions. Together, these enhancements ensure a more dependable, resilient water supply for residents while supporting both current needs and future District growth.
